Bomb The Bass, the pseudonym of London producer, Tim Simeon, clearly marked the beginning of the 1980s with some wicked singles, such as "Beat Dis".

The first single from his 3rd album (and undoubedly the best), "Bug Powder Dust" is an electro hip-hop mix of the highest standard, with a hypnotic bass loop.  It was originally composed by the American Jazz bassist Alphonso Johnson (for those of you who like all the details!).
