25 podcasts already! Time flies...

Still fond of minimal sounds but certainly less dark, this "Move 004" is one of TOFM's best mixes. A beautiful intro from london composer Lazarus, followed by Even Tuell's "Untitled" track: this is a super start for a set which shows an interesting evolution in TOFM's style.

Minimal Tek should be digested over time. Minimal Tek is a sonic spiral. Minimal Tek is, in my opinion, one of the most accomplished mixes from TOFM, both airy and powerful.

After TOFM's last podcast, "Urban Electro Beat", which seems to have circulated a lot amongst some readers, I was quite looking forward to his new mix.

TOFM has decided this time to set the scene in Chicago with a super mix of old school house tracks. Rythm Controll, Kerry Chandler, DJ Pierre: only House pioneers whose tracks have nothing to envy more contemporary productions.

Random Things

In France, and some other countries now too, June 21st is dedicated to all things music. Fete de la Musique sees young and old taking to the streets to listen to DJs and bands performing.
Readers will forgive me for the poor quality of my video. It's my first movie so I haven't yet mastered the editing part... I guess I'm more of an audio software guy!

You can see TOFM on the decks (He of our Podcast fame). It was great fun filming the kids dancing the "Tektonik", a new techno dance which is huge in France. Just watch the little one in yellow and you'll get what it is.


Yesterday I came across Jarvis Cocker (from Pulp) and Gonzales (musician and producer of Feist's last album) having a cup of tea in Pigalle! You can imagine my excitement. I asked if I could take a quick snap, which they happily agreed to. However Gonzales asked me to be discreet, so I couldn't ask a passerby to take a picture of the 3 of us, unfortunately. Still I suppose this is good enough.
